We attended the follow-up meeting of the “European Cyber Valleys” Pilot Action
A delegation from Castilla y León was in Brussels on Friday, June 15, on the occasion of the follow-up meeting of the “European Cyber Valleys” Pilot Action, a pilot project on interregional cooperation in Cybersecurity, in which the Institute of Business Competitiveness of Castile and Leon (ICE) participates as a member and to which the AEI has been invited as a stakeholder and an involved party of the Cybersecurity DIH.
In “European Ciber Valleys” a group of five European regions participate, the ones that are betting most on cybersecurity as an area of regional specialization: Castilla y León, together with Brittany (France), North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany), Estonia and Finland.
One of the highlighted actions of the project is the elaboration of a mapping that identifies European capacities in Cybersecurity. During the meeting several online tools were presented, as well as Dynamic Mapping, a functionality that will geolocate all the regional agents involved in the cybersecurity area, and collect all their associated information, divided according to the different categories. In the application, agents from the five regions involved will appear, including companies, research centers, universities, support infrastructures, entrepreneurship support organizations, etc. To join the platform you will have to fill out a survey with some general information (billing, number of employees, work sectors, etc.), we will keep you informed so you can participate.
On the other hand, the project aims to perform a capacity analysis and market supply, to have a general taxonomy of products and services and detect possible needs. This objective is directly related to the Cyberwatching.eu project of which the AEI is a member, and which also has a taxonomy of products and services, which in turn is aligned with that of ECSO. As a member of ECSO, of the Cyberwatching.eu project and as a guest entity to collaborate with Cyber Valleys, from the AEI we are working on the search for synergies to join forces and get the most out of existing resources.
